Our philosophy
& core values.
Learm more about our philosophy and The Pillars of the Experience.
We create experiences that help people reconnect with nature, with each other, and with themselves. In a world full of noise, speed, and constant distraction, we offer something slower, simpler, and more real.
Our philosophy is built on presence, human connection, and deep respect for the land. We believe in the value of rest, the power of playfulness, and the importance of creating space for what truly matters. Around the fire, in the water, in the silence, over a shared meal, something shifts. People soften, slow down, and begin to feel more present.
Everything we do is rooted in that intention: to create meaningful experiences that bring people back to a more grounded way of being.

Phone-Free Presence
Since 2019, we have invited guests to leave their phones behind and step more fully into the moment. Without screens, something changes. Attention returns to the body, to the people around us, and to the landscape itself.
Conversations become more real.
Silence feels easier. The senses sharpen. You hear the fire crackle, notice your breath, and look up at the stars instead of down at a screen. The experience becomes something you truly live, rather than something you document.

Local & Wild
Foodphilosophy
Our menu follows the seasons, the forest, and the natural rhythm of the land. We work with local ingredients, wild game, and artisan products from nearby farmers, producers, and makers. For us, food is not only about flavour, but about connection to place, tradition, and craft.
By choosing local and seasonal ingredients, we support the people and practices that keep the region’s food culture alive. Cooking over fire is a central part of what we do. It brings out honest flavours and allows the ingredients to stand on their own.

Authentic Hospitality
To us, hospitality should feel personal, calm, and genuine. We welcome people as they are, without scripts, performance, or unnecessary formality. What matters most is that our guests feel seen, safe, and cared for.
We listen, guide when needed, and create an atmosphere where people can fully arrive. With warmth, attentiveness, and clear boundaries, we hold space for both rest and presence.

Community & Connection
There is something powerful about sharing an experience with others. Whether it is preparing food together, entering cold water, sitting by the fire, or simply spending time in silence, connection grows naturally when people share the same space with presence.
We want people to feel included, supported, and at ease. What begins as a group often becomes a real sense of community, built through simplicity, trust, and shared experience.

Culture, Craft & Heritage
Our work is also a way of honouring and promoting the culture of this place. Through food, storytelling, traditional practices, local craftsmanship, and the rhythm of life close to the land, we want guests to experience something rooted and meaningful.
We believe culture lives not only in museums or history books, but in the way we cook, host, gather, build, and care for the landscape around us. By collaborating with local producers, artisans, and traditions, we help keep that heritage alive, while sharing it with new generations and visitors from near and far.

Rest & Recovery
We believe that rest is not a luxury, but a necessity. In everyday life, many people live with more noise, speed, and tension than they realise. Here, we create the conditions for the nervous system to slow down and the body to catch up with the soul.
Stillness, forest, warmth, and simplicity invite a deeper kind of recovery, one that is not about escaping life, but returning to it with more presence, softness, and balance. Guests often leave feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected to themselves.

Primal Living
There is a deep sense of clarity in returning to a simpler way of living. Bathing in the lake, warming by the fire, cooking by candlelight, carrying water, and following the rhythm of daylight reconnect us with something essential.
Without constant convenience or stimulation, we begin to notice what we actually need. This way of living reminds us that simplicity can be deeply restorative. It helps us feel more capable, more present, and more connected to the land around us.

Alive, Playful & Free
We believe playfulness is an important part of feeling fully alive. It opens something in us. It brings lightness, curiosity, courage, and presence.
We have created an environment that invites that feeling back in.
Through movement, shared experiences, laughter, and simple moments of spontaneity, we make space for the playful part of being human. The part that explores, dares, and feels free.
