The Raven
Spend the night in one of Sweden's most unique accommodations. Surrounded by wilderness, right on the lake, with a sauna on the roof and a bedroom under the stars.
Sleep on the water in our floating lodge on Lake Navardalen, one of Sweden’s most distinctive and sought after places to stay.
Surrounded by forest, mountains and open water, this is an experience designed for complete stillness without compromising on comfort. The lodge features a glass enclosed bedroom with a double bed, a wood burning stove, a sofa for quiet evenings inside, and an LPG powered combustion toilet.
Above, a private rooftop sauna opens up to panoramic views of the lake and the landscape beyond. On the terrace, you will find a small outdoor kitchen and your own rowing boat, inviting you to move at your own pace and live close to the elements.
The waters around the lodge hold trout and Arctic char, while the surrounding forests are home to moose and bear. Remote yet refined, this is one of those rare stays that feels both grounded in nature and impossible to forget.

Upstairs by the sauna there is an outdoor shower with cold water. You can also swim in the lake. The water in the lake is so clean that you can drink it.
How does it get warm in the cottage?
In spring and autumn, you light a fire in the wood-burning stove to get warmth. In summer, you don't need a fire. Of course, we help with this for those who have never made a fire before.
Is there a toilet and how does it work?
Raven has an incineration toilet that is powered by LPG. It works like a regular toilet. We will provide instructions on how it works on site.
What happens if we have booked and there is thunderstorm? Can you still live there?
It depends on how strong the storm is. We have tried to stay at Raven in all weathers. However, if the storm is too strong, we will not allow you to stay at Raven for safety reasons. Then you get some of the money back and can live in the cottage on land instead. When there is lightning we recommend you to take the rowing boat in to land until its over.
What kind of security procedures do you have?
Raven has been tested in all weather conditions. Life jackets are always available and a boat is always anchored. We have gas alarms, smoke detectors, glass breakers and fire extinguishers. We have clear safety procedures that make you at Raven feel safe. Since there is poor reception in Navardalen we also have a comradio for communication with those of us who are on land.
