Where is Navardalen?
Navardalen is 35 minuts north of Älvdalen, Nothern Dalarna. It is about 5 hours from Stockholm by car.
CAR :
Enter Navardalens Vildmarksstation on the GPS.
Directions : Go to Älvdalen center & from Älvdalen you go north on national road 70. At the intersection you turn right towards Sveg. (Signposted) Continue towards Sveg for about 15 minuts. Then turn left at the jöllen bridge towards Navardalen (Signpost available)
Then follow the signs towards Navardalen. Then you will clearly see the signs where we have to park. It is about 300 meters to walk from the car park.

Note: If your GPS shows that you will be driving the road over the Älvdalen shooting range, it is incredibly important that you check that there are no exercises in the area because then the road will be closed. If you follow the directions, you will NOT drive over Älvdalen's shooting range.

Please note that you CANNOT get all the way to Navardalen via train or bus. A car is required from Mora Station. When you book a retreat, a transfer from Mora Station is always included. If you have booked Raven (LUXURY PACKAGE) then transfer is always included.

Accommodation & facility
Is there a toilet & shower?
We have simple outhouses on site. We wash ourselves in the lake and via hot water from the sauna stove. Raven: Our luxury floating accommodation has an incinerator toilet.
Is there electricity & running water?
There are no modern amenities with us. And that is also the charm of the place. We get water from the stream & we get heat from wood-burning stoves.
How many accommodations are there on site?
In total, we have a large cabin with 12 beds, a cabin with a double bed, 1 glamping tent with room for a maximum of 4 people & a luxurious accommodation for two on the lake.
Can I rent/book the entire facility in Navardalen?
Can you rent the facility & hold your own retreat?

Is there a sauna?
Yes, we have a wood-burning sauna down by the lake that can be used by anyone who lives on site.
How is the facility staffed during the year? Are there always staff on site?
We always meet our guests in Navardalen regardless of booking & time of year. During the high season from mid-June to mid-August, there are staff on site 24/7.
Is it allowed to bring a dog?
We would like your dog to come with us.
We allow dogs in all our accommodation as long as you keep it on a lead and take the wildlife in the forest into account.

Food & special diets
What do you recommend to bring for food if staying with you? Are there refrigeration facilities?
All our accommodation has a fridge + small freezer, as well as a trangia kitchen and griddle. If you want to be super comfortable, buy freeze-dried food, then you only need to add hot water. Otherwise, it is very much appreciated to make wook on our griddles. Take a look at Dalum's fantastic website for good recipes you can cook on the griddle. DALUMS WEBSITE:
I have an allergy, can you adjust the diet accordingly when I book a retreat or similar?
Yes, in most cases we can adapt the diet to allergies/special diets. But since we are staying out in the wilderness, you need to tell us in good time so that we can prepare this in the best way. We can never guarantee that anything is 100% allergy-proof. It is your responsibility to bring medication if needed and always notify us.
Can I book only lunch or dinner with you without accommodation?
Yes, you can book dinner or lunch with us without accommodation.
But we only take group bookings of at least 10 people.

Booking conditions, screen rest & other questions
What are your cancellation/booking conditions?
It is different depending on what you have booked. Read more here about what applies to each specific package/experience/location.
Do you have a travel guarantee?
We have arranged a travel guarantee with the Kammarkollegiet. This means that you can receive compensation if your trip is canceled or interrupted should we be affected by insolvency.

What happens if I injure myself or lose my things?
No Connection cannot accept responsibility for any costs incurred in the event of damage or loss of personal property. In the event of illness or accident that requires the evacuation of participants, the responsibility for payment lies with the participant himself. Some activities may involve taking risks if our safety procedures are not followed. If damage should occur during participation in our activities that is not due to improper handling of material caused by us, No Connection cannot be held responsible. It is a good idea to check your accident insurance before you go on a trip.
Screen rest & digital detox:
We have a screen-free policy. This means that when you book a retreat via
No Connection then our screen-free policy applies. This means that we lock mobile phones & other technology together upon arrival. We have been doing this since 2018 & has been our signature & has led to incredible presence, brain rest, fantastic community & rest from must & demands.
We want to create screen-free oases where we work with presence and calm.
Please respect this even when you visit our café or an event without overnight accommodation. If you book the entire facility in Navardalen through your company or as a group, you/you choose whether you want to drive screen-free or not.
But we always recommend it.
Is there an emergency phone number in case something happens?
Absolutely! There is always an emergency telephone on site. Your relatives will also be given a phone number to call if something happens at home.
